Dark as a night moth, with deep purple on large lipped flowers, it is one to savour.  One of the more compact salvias, it just keeps on flowering, often from July till November.  A light trim in August, giving it tighter shape and new growth which encourages new flower production.  Hardy to - 10C in sunny, free draining borders
